Baseball Recap: South River Comes Up Short

South River has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.73 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They fell 10-6 to the Sayreville Bombers. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bombers from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Julius Rosado was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. He also scored two runs, which is notable because South River is 11-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Sanchez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
