Soccer Recap: Carmel Christian Takes a Loss

If Carmel Christian was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Queen's Grant last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Providence Day Chargers by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for Carmel Christian in their meetings with Providence Day: they've now lost six in a row.

Carmel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Providence Day, the win keeps they at an undefeated 14-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carmel Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ambassador Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Providence Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Charlotte Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Providence Day will be up against Charlotte Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.2 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
