Amarillo gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Odessa Bronchos 55-12. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-12.

Amarillo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jude Dunavin out in front who rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Jett Lopez was another key passer, throwing for 308 yards and five TDs while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt.

Coming up, Amarillo is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against San Angelo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Odessa, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bell at 7:30 p.m.
