Basketball Game Preview: Monticello Billies vs. McGehee Owls

The Monticello Billies will venture away from home to challenge the McGehee Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Monticello is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 72 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Arkadelphia on Saturday. They lost 54-28 to the Badgers.

Meanwhile, McGehee can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They managed a 48-44 win over Dermott.

McGehee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Monticello, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Monticello and McGehee were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but Monticello came up empty-handed after a 58-57 loss. Can Monticello avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
