Baseball Game Preview: West Geauga Wolverines vs. Perry Pirates

The West Geauga Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the Perry Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. West Geauga will be strutting in after a victory while Perry will be coming in after a loss.

West Geauga is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since April 13th on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Shaker Heights, sneaking past 4-3.

Meanwhile, Perry unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kirtland. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

West Geauga's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

West Geauga came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
