Football Recap: Dos Palos Wins Going Away Against Mendota + How To Watch

Dos Palos won the last time they faced Mendota and things went their way on Friday too. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 36-14 margin over the Aztecs. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Andre Flores had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 44 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Dos Palos is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Dos Palos proved: they limited Mendota to a paltry 2.3 yards per carry. The Broncos' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.4 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.63 on average over their last five games.

The win made it two in a row for Dos Palos and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points in those games. As for Mendota, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.
