Basketball Recap: Olney Comes Up Short

Olney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 51-36 bruising from the Nocona Indians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-42 back in December of 2024.

Olney's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Nocona, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season.

When Olney and Nocona next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Olney will try to stop Seymour's ten-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Nocona will square off against Windthorst and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
