Football Game Preview: Wadsworth Grizzlies vs. Solon Comets

The Wadsworth Grizzlies will venture away from home to take on the Solon Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wadsworth has nine straight wins, Solon has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Wadsworth against Stow-Munroe Falls as the squad secured a 50-20 victory. Considering the Grizzlies have won eight games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Solon fell victim to Brecksville-Broadview Heights and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 53-0 defeat at the hands of the Bees. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Comets were not able to get on the board.

Wadsworth's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Solon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Wadsworth won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, slipping by Solon 28-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
