Tri-Point can bid farewell to their seven-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the St. Anne Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

Tri-Point never let St. Anne on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-15.

Lexa Porth paced Tri-Point's offense, picking up seven kills. Porth got some help from Rachel Darda and her 14 assists. Finally, Khloe Miller-Dyrby kept Tri-Point's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Despite the defeat, St. Anne saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Demi Duncan had five digs and two blocks. Duncan is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Tri-Point's win bumped their record up to 11-18. As for St. Anne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Tri-Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Anne, they will host Iroquois West at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
