Gavin Townsend posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Townsend and White Plains will face off against Mount Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are a perfect 7-0 against the Knights going back to April of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
