Valencia has gone 9-1 against Belen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Jaguars will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m.

Valencia fought the good fight in their overtime match against Highland on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1. Valencia have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belen). They put the hurt on Grants with a sharp 6-2 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for Belen as it spelled an end to their 13-match losing streak.

Their offense was hitting Grants from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Emmanuel Jijo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Belen's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-16. As for Valencia, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Valencia took their win against Belen in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
