Basketball Preview: North Forrest Eagles vs. Richton Rebels
North Forrest has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Richton Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, North Forrest came up short against the Tigers and fell 47-38.
Meanwhile, Richton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against Collins by a score of 44-32.
Richton found their leader in underclassman Nylah Robins, who scored 22 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Robins continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Dherria Barlow, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
North Forrest has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Richton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season.
North Forrest came up short against the Rebels in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 33-22. Can North Forrest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
