Volleyball Recap: Columbia City Beats Leo for Their Third Straight Victory

Columbia City had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Leo Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Columbia City walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22.

Gabe Swihart paced Columbia City's offense, picking up 11 kills. Swihart got some help from Logan Hardy and his 29 assists. Swihart was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Columbia City's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. As for Leo, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Columbia City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Fort Wayne Northrop on the 17th. As for Leo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bellmont on the 18th.
