Baseball Game Preview: Sabinal Yellowjackets vs. D'Hanis Cowboys

Sabinal hasn't had much luck against D'Hanis recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Yellowjackets will face off against the Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Sabinal turned things around against La Pryor on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 7-2.

Meanwhile, D'Hanis made easy work of Knippa on Tuesday and carried off a 15-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won five games by nine runs or more so far this season.

D'Hanis has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Sabinal, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-11.

Sabinal suffered a grim 26-12 defeat to D'Hanis in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
