Baseball Recap: Goochland Takes a Loss

Goochland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orange County Fighting Hornets. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Goochland's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Orange County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Goochland is set to square off against their familiar foe Fluvanna County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Orange County will face off against rival Monticello at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
