Tumwater has gone a perfect 10-0 against Black Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds will challenge the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. Black Hills took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tumwater, who comes in off a win.

Tumwater had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Montesano back in March. The Thunderbirds never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory.

Megan Barrett and Jaime Haase did most of the damage at the plate: Barrett scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Haase scored a run while going 2-for-3.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Tumwater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montesano only managed five hits.

Meanwhile, in Monday's Canine Competition, Black Hills had to take the L. They came up short against Montesano on Monday, falling 14-3. The loss was the Wolves' first of the season.

Kailey Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Tumwater now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Black Hills, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.

Everything went Tumwater's way against Black Hills when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Tumwater made off with a 14-1 win. Do the Thunderbirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
