Basketball Recap: Anson Takes a Loss

Anson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Monroe Redhawks, falling 74-21. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 63-14 defeat on Wednesday.

Anson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alaysia Caraway, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 25 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was London Williams, who posted five points and 11 rebounds.

Anson's loss dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Monroe, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.

As of now, neither Anson nor the Redhawks have any future games scheduled.
