Soccer Game Preview: Pickens vs. Seneca

The Pickens Blue Flame will venture away from home to take on the Seneca Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pickens will head out to face Seneca after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Blue Flame lost 6-0 to Daniel. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Pickens' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Seneca had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Seneca, who have now won six matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Greer with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bri Morel (2), Kylie Bankson (2), and Molly Bradley (2).

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Pickens, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.

Pickens beat Seneca 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Flame since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
