Baseball Recap: Liberty's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Liberty's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They skirted past the Mercer Island Islanders 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Colin Brown looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Ryan Boehm was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Mercer Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Hazen on the 4th. As for Mercer Island, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-0 loss against Mount Si on the 4th.
