Football Recap: Hulett Falls to HEM in First Game of Season

Hulett unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 76-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the HEM Miners on Saturday. The Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Miners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

HEM can attribute much of their success to Naythen Atencio, who rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 75 receiving yards.

HEM has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Hulett and HEM will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Devils see the field they'll take on Meeteetse on the 19th. As for HEM, their break will end when they face Farson-Eden at 12:00 p.m. on the 20th.
