Baseball Recap: Plainwell Comes Up Short

Plainwell lost against Otsego on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Plainwell and nudges their season record down to 4-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Otsego, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Plainwell and Otsego will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Trojans see the field they'll take on Paw Paw at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Otsego, their break will end when they face Edwardsburg at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
