Baseball Recap: Pueblo Takes a Loss

Pueblo lost against Sunnyside back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pueblo Warriors lost 11-3 to the Sunnyside Blue Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly eight runs.

Pueblo saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivan Vasquez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Vasquez a new career-high. Alex Cuen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Pueblo and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Sunnyside, their record is now 5-2.

Coming up, Pueblo will square off against Sahuaro at 4:00 p.m. on March 17th. Sunnyside has already played their next match (against Canyon del Oro), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
