Clinton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Clinton Red Devils and the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Clinton's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so Worthington Kilbourne's offense will have their work cut out for Worthington Kilbourne.

Clinton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Newberry 55-18 at home. Given Clinton's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Newberry is ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Bryanna Belton, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. Ry'Daijia Mars was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.

Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Worthington Kilbourne, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-45 loss to Big Walnut on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Worthington Kilbourne in their matchups with Big Walnut: they've now lost three in a row.

Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
