On Friday Elijah Phillips didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. The effort also marked the fewest walks (two) Phillips has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with more than seven strikeouts. On the year, he has an ERA of 2.94 over 16.7 innings pitched.
