Preview: Capital Jaguars vs. Santa Fe Demons
Capital is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Santa Fe a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Capital Jaguars will take on the Santa Fe Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Capital came up short against Clovis and fell 34-21.
Despite the loss, Capital got a solid performance out of Joseph Rodriguez, who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Santa Fe lost to Albuquerque at home by a decisive 28-12 margin on Saturday.
Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Santa Fe, their defeat also dropped their record down to an identical 1-8.
Everything came up roses for Capital against Santa Fe in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 49-6 victory. Will Capital repeat their success, or does Santa Fe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
