Baseball Recap: Parkview Takes a Loss

Parkview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 7-0 to the Joplin Eagles. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Parkview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Tessaro, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Parkview's loss dropped their record down to 0-26. As for Joplin, they moved to 8-14 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Parkview and Joplin could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Vikings (ranked 405th) will meet Fair Grove (ranked 51st) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Joplin will challenge Blue Valley North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (118 vs. 31).
