Central extends road winning streak to three

Recap: Central Tigers vs. Olympia Titans

The Central Tigers are ranked highly in their home state, and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Olympia Titans. Central secured a 49-44 W over Olympia. The success was a return to things as normal for Central, who in their previous outing suffered a shocking 57-36 upset defeat to St. Joseph.

Despite the loss, Olympia still got an impressive performance from Vophcy Prophete, who scored 18 points along with three steals. The game was Prophete's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sean Owens, who scored seven points.

Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Olympia, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3.

Central will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. Sports Leadership & Management has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 674 points over their last ten matches. Olympia won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lee at 3:00 p.m. on January 5th. Lee has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
