Softball Recap: Lake City Comes Up Short

Lake City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Reed City Coyotes, falling 16-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-4 on Tuesday.

Lake City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Read, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Lake City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Reed City, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-19 record this season.

Lake City will face off against Pine River Area at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Reed City, they will challenge Mason County Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
