Basketball Preview: Beachside Barracudas vs. Mandarin Mustangs
The Beachside Barracudas will face off against the Mandarin Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beachside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Beachside humbled Paxon School For Advanced Studies with a 75-37 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Barracudas.

Beachside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Cremen out in front who went 8 for 14 en route to 25 points along with eight assists and six boards. Cremen has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 16 times she's played. Kendall Kane was another key player, shooting 6-for-10 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds.
Cremen wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Beachside was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, Mandarin played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 77-35 loss at the hands of Bolles. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Beachside now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Mandarin, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
