On Thursday, Owyhee faced Rocky Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Owyhee Storm simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies 60-32. The Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Owyhee's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Beck, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Beck is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Josie Davis, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Loss or not, Rocky Mountain got some senior leadership from Logan Sailors and Makenna Giberson. Sailors went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points and six rebounds, while Giberson posted seven points and three steals. That was a full 40.6% of Rocky Mountain's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Owyhee pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Rocky Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Owyhee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rocky Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
