Pacific posted their closest victory since September 19, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Hermann Bearcats. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now won five in a row.

Pacific wouldn't go down easily and took Hermann into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-18, 25-14, 14-25, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Hermann lost, don't look at Chloe Brune. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Brynlee Ash, who had ten assists and eight digs.

Pacific's win bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Hermann, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season.
