Baseball Recap: Oviedo Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Oviedo entered their tilt with Lake Howell on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Silverhawks by a score of 7-3. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-2 win last Monday.

Bryce Francher looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Colin Napier was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Lynch, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Oviedo's record is now 10-15. As for Lake Howell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Oviedo will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lake Howell: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
