Recap: Providence Day Chargers vs. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles

With a playoff game on the line, the Providence Day Chargers rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee by a score of 34-27. The victory was nothing new for Providence Day as they're now sitting on four straight.

Providence Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Shipp out in front who picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 15 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Providence Day also got help from Channing Goodwin who showed off his sure hands for 108 receiving yards.

Providence Day pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 9-3 Charlotte Catholic and 8-4 Charlotte Christian (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 57.2% over those games). As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, their defeat ended a eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-1.

Providence Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee also has no future games currently scheduled.
