Volleyball Recap: Village Christian Comes Up Short

Village Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Thousand Oaks Lancers.

Despite the loss, Village Christian still got an impressive performance from Izzy Aragon, who had 20 digs and one assist. Talia Mardrussian also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Village Christian now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Thousand Oaks, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-1.

Village Christian has already played their next contest (against Burroughs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Thousand Oaks also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Marin Catholic.
