Baseball Game Preview: Indian River Wolves vs. Carthage Comets

The Indian River Wolves will head out to challenge the Carthage Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Indian River made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Jefferson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolves fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 7-5 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolves have suffered since April 17, 2024.

Meanwhile, Carthage came up short against Lowville on Monday and fell 8-3. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Indian River now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Carthage, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Indian River took their win against Carthage in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
