For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Olathe South and Mill Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Jaguars. The Falcons have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14.

Taylor Steele paced Olathe South's offense, picking up six kills. Steele got some help from Kinley Legleiter and her nine assists.

Leading Mill Valley to victory were Ellie Bain and Haedyn Lynnes. Bain had 11 digs and four aces, while Lynnes had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Lynnes a new career-high. Ella Florez also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Olathe South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mill Valley, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Olathe South has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Lee's Summit on the 13th. As for Mill Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Lawrence Free State on the 13th.
