Brazos Christian will be up against a hot Vanguard College Prep team: the squad just extended their winning streak to seven. Vanguard College Prep took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 59-12 win over Concordia. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 531st, while the Cardinals are ranked 1331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Brazos Christian's way against Concordia on Thursday as Brazos Christian made off with a 54-31 victory.

Vanguard College Prep is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Brazos Christian, their win bumped their record up to 18-7.

Vanguard College Prep took their victory against Brazos Christian in their previous matchup on January 7th by a conclusive 50-27.
