Volleyball Game Preview: Cypress Centurions vs. Sonora Raiders

The Cypress Centurions will square off against the Sonora Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonora took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cypress, who comes in off a win.

While Cypress' win against Yorba Linda wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Centurions narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mustangs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Centurions have posted since August 19th.

Meanwhile, Sonora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunny Hills.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 15-25, 25-10.

Cypress has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Sonora, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

Cypress took their victory against Sonora in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Centurions repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
