Central Connecticut - Tier 4 Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances across Friday and Saturday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Joey Motes Delivers Electric Performance Vs Avon

Starting off the list is Rocky Hill's Joey Motes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Motes rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 121 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

Rocky Hill's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. Motes and Rocky Hill will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cromwell/Portland at 6:00 p.m. on November 27th.

Northwest Catholic Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Kayden Davis

Northwest Catholic picked up their third consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Kayden Davis. Lewis Mills had no answer to Davis as he picked up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Davis is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against East Catholic on Thursday. When Davis last faced the Eagles back in November of 2023, he picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Big Game from Montalvo As East Catholic Won 35-17

Joey Montalvo was instrumental in extending East Catholic's winning streak to four on Friday. Montalvo did his part (and then some), picking up 152 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the 'W'. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 61 yards.

Plainville had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Montalvo it was a similar story. When Montalvo last faced the Blue Devils back in November of 2023, he picked up 348 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Vincent Burbank Makes It Two for Northwest Catholic

Another Northwest Catholic player making an appearance on this list is Vincent Burbank. He threw for 237 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played.

Burbank and Northwest Catholic will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against East Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on November 27th. The matchup will pit Burbank up against the Eagles' star signal caller Christian Morales. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Christian Morales Dazzles in East Catholic Win

The second East Catholic player making an appearance here is Christian Morales, and for good reason. He threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 34 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.

Unfortunately for Plainville, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Morales. When Morales last faced the Blue Devils back in November of 2023, he threw for 402 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.5 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 33 yards.
