Volleyball Recap: San Luis Obispo Comes Up Short

After flying high against Morro Bay on Tuesday, San Luis Obispo came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Clovis Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

San Luis Obispo wouldn't go down easily and took Clovis into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 14-25, 24-26, 15-9.

San Luis Obispo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Clovis, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, San Luis Obispo will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clovis, they will square off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
