The Bermudian Springs Eagles will head out to take on the Biglerville Canners at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Bermudian Springs is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Bermudian Springs proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 15) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Greencastle-Antrim 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Branson Diller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.
In other pitching news, Skyler Gentzler tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Dylan Hubbard, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one double. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cal Chubb also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Biglerville lost 10-4 to Annville-Cleona on Friday.
Biglerville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Black, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Aiden Hoffman was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Bermudian Springs' record is now 5-1. As for Biglerville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bermudian Springs has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .486. However, it's not like Biglerville struggles in that department as they've averaged .474. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bermudian Springs came out on top in a nail-biter against Biglerville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bermudian Springs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
