Leonard suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They took a serious blow against Wellington, falling 53-19. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Leonard has suffered against Wellington since January 11, 2018.
Leonard's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Witney Naurelus, who scored seven points along with two steals, and Euterria Davis who scored seven points. That was a full 36.8% of Leonard's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Lake Worth suffered a tough 39-16 loss at the hands of Forest Hill on Wednesday. Lake Worth has not had much luck with Forest Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Leonard has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Lake Worth, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Leonard beat Lake Worth 40-29 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leonard since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
