Volleyball Recap: Moriarty Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Moriarty hadn't done well against Pojoaque Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Pintos put the hurt on the Elks/Elkettes with a sharp 3-0 win. The Pintos not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 5th (when they won 3-0).

While Moriarty won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.

Michaela Dunn paced Moriarty's offense, picking up 16 kills. Dunn got some help from Lily Shelby and her 14 assists. Kristina Means controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

The victory (which was Moriarty's third in a row) raised their record to 6-10. As for Pojoaque Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Moriarty and Pojoaque Valley will both be playing Espanola Valley the next time they take the court. The Pintos will host the Sundevils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Elks/Elkettes will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
