Basketball Game Preview: Fredonia Hillbillies vs. Allegany-Limestone Gators

The Fredonia Hillbillies are taking a road trip to challenge the Allegany-Limestone Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fredonia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Fredonia came up short against Clarence and fell 48-41. The Hillbillies have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite their loss, Fredonia saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Colin Luce, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 14 points and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance gave Luce a new career-high in blocks. Rj Koopman was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six assists and five steals.

Meanwhile, Allegany-Limestone put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 69-38 victory over Bradford.

Fredonia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Allegany-Limestone, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Fredonia and Allegany-Limestone were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January, but Fredonia came up empty-handed after a 58-57 loss. Can Fredonia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
