Basketball Game Preview: Constitution Generals vs. Spring-Ford Rams

The Constitution Generals will take on the Spring-Ford Rams in a holiday battle at at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Constitution is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season.

Constitution took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Franklin Towne 79-43. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Warriors are ranked 402nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Constitution had a senior duo take command as Alantay Dawson went 8 of 11 en route to 17 points along with eight steals and five assists and Khaleek Johnson went 7 for 11 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Khair White-Blaylock, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points.

Constitution was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin Towne only racked up nine assists.

Meanwhile, Spring-Ford unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost to Methacton at home by a 62-46 margin. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 14-10 in the first quarter.

Spring-Ford's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Constitution, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
