Preview: Maple Grove Red Dragons vs. Brocton Bulldogs
Maple Grove is on a three-game streak of home losses, Brocton a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Maple Grove Red Dragons will take on the Brocton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Monday, Maple Grove ended up a good deal behind Clymer Central and lost 47-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Maple Grove has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Brocton came up short against Clymer Central on Thursday and fell 45-36. Brocton was down 41-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Maple Grove now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Brocton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Everything came up roses for Maple Grove against Brocton in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 67-39 win. Will Maple Grove repeat their success, or does Brocton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
