Volleyball Recap: Reedy Starts Season with Win Against Marcus + How To Watch

Reedy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Marcus Marauders on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lions have posted against the Marauders since August 8, 2017.

While Reedy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 27-25, 25-18.

Reedy was led to victory by Paige Hawkinson and Deeta Gurung. Hawkinson had 16 assists and eight digs, while Gurung had nine digs and three assists. Those nine digs gave Gurung a new career-high.

Reedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Wylie East on the 15th. As for Marcus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Mineral Wells on the 15th.
