Basketball Game Preview: Northview Titans vs. St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions

The Northview Titans will head out on the road to challenge the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season.

Northview is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Marist just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 67-44 to the War Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Titans have suffered since December 20, 2024.

Tamariana Bivins put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Milan Johnson, who earned four points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for St. Pius X Catholic on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Druid Hills out of the water with a 65-11 final score. The Golden Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

St. Pius X Catholic's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Northview, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8.
