Football Recap: Vanguard Comes Up Short

Vanguard was the 31-0 winner over Dunnellon when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vanguard Knights fell 7-0 to the Dunnellon Tigers on Thursday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vanguard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Dunnellon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Vanguard will be playing in front of their home fans against Leesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vanguard's defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so Leesburg's offense will have their work cut out for them. Dunnellon will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Port at 5:00 p.m. on March 13th.
