Baseball Recap: Webb City Takes a Loss

Webb City fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Neosho on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The defeat snapped Webb City's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-12 record. As for Neosho, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webb City will venture away from home to square off against Marshfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Neosho, they will head out to challenge Carl Junction at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
